Summary of Reign of the Seven Spellblades
As spring arrives at Kimberly Magic Academy, a fresh group of first-year students joins. Among them is Oliver. He is a determined young boy carrying a burning desire for vengeance. His sole purpose is to avenge his mother’s brutal murder from certain members of Kimberly’s faculty.
However, when he encounters Nanao Hibiya, he is caught between his quest for revenge and his curiosity to know with Nanao.
As he forges forms fast friendships, he wonders if these connections will hinder his vendetta.
During the entrance ceremony, the chilling revelation is made that every school year has witnessed the tragic loss of at least one student’s life. With this reality ahead, Oliver and his newfound friends must navigate the challenges of the next seven years, where survival becomes uncertain.

Oliver
He is the son of the renowned “Two Blade” Chloe Halford. Despite his tragic past, he remains grounded and level-headed. He prefers to seek peaceful resolutions to conflicts, but when pushed to the edge, he won’t hesitate to wield his wand and athame in battle.
His time at Kimberly Magic Academy serves a dual purpose. On the surface, he appears like any other student, but beneath that façade lies a secret mission: he is determined to avenge his mother’s death by targeting the faculty members responsible for her demise.
Carrying the legacy of his mother, Oliver possesses the 4th spellblade, known as “Angustavia.” This unique spellblade grants him the power to manipulate causality. He can choose the desired outcome of his attack and then reverse the events leading to that outcome. This ability, however, exacts a heavy toll on his body. He risks death if he uses it three times consecutively.
Voiced by Atsushi Tamaru in the Japanese version and Drew Breedlove in English, his journey at Kimberly Academy will test his resolve.
Nanao Hibiya
She is a spirited samurai from Tourikueisen, a distant land in Yamatsu. Her life took a dramatic turn when Theodore McFarlane offered her a second chance at life. As per his request, she enrolls at Kimberly Magic Academy, where she discovers a new sense of purpose.
As Na journey progresses, she gains mastery over a remarkable new spellblade, the seventh one in existence. This spellblade grants her the ability to deliver instant strikes from a distance.
In the original Japanese version, Nanao’s voiced by Yuka Nukui, while in the English version, Veronica Laux lends her voice to portray this dynamic character.
