What Is Survivle?
Survivle: One of the more unexpected developments in 2022 is the massive rise of Wordle, a browser-based puzzle game. Wordle’s ability to capitalise on the social media engagement surrounding each daily puzzle, encouraging others to play without giving away the answers, is a recipe that future games will be attempting to duplicate for years.
Meanwhile, a slew of inventive Wordle-inspired puzzle games have sprung up to cash in on the puzzle-obsessed public. Survivle, the most recent example, is a fantastic inverted Wordle.
The goal of the game, as Wordle players are well aware, is to solve each day’s puzzle with as few guesses as possible. However, because losing Wordle is uncommon, solving the problem every day may not feel particularly difficult or gratifying.
However, being able to complete a puzzle in two or three guesses is always exhilarating to share on Twitter. Survivle flips that concept on its head, requiring players to make as many guesses as possible in order to solve the problem.
Survivle, unlike Wordle, provides a clear, demanding aim for each problem, with equal footing for all players. Every task requires the player to try their hardest not to solve the word.
As a result, the goal stays the same: find out the word while using as many guesses as possible that aren’t it. Survivle (and Wordle, for that matter) may be difficult to solve in less than four or five guesses for certain players. Players will have to use their imaginations to come up with new words.
Some regulations must be enforced in order for Survivle to work. Any letter that is revealed to be missing from the term, for example, cannot be used again.
Also, any letter that appears in the word must be repeated. It’s similar to Wordle’s optional Hard Mode options, but tighter. However, it is the only method to keep Survivle players concentrating on the puzzle.
Survivle made one blunder: there is no such thing as a daily word. Survivle is generated automatically each time a player visits the site and can be played as many times as the user desires in a single sitting session.
That means sharing results on social media to compare with friends isn’t a good idea, as it removes the social and competitive aspects of what makes Wordle so popular. If Survivle receives more notice, this may alter.
Survivle is the most recent Wordle offshoot worth checking out. It’s not as difficult as Absurdle, Mathdle, Octordle, or Star Wordle, but it’s still fun. It’s not quite as ridiculous as Lewdle, Byrdle, or Letterle, but it’s close.
Survivle, on the other hand, may be a superior version of Wordle if it underwent a few more tweaks to capitalise on social media and stat tracking.
