In this article, we will mainly talk about the different types of embroidery stitches.
- Tatami Stitch/ Geflect Stitch/ Fill Stitch
This type of stitch is used when only one layer of stitch is needed, and there is no double layering required. This type is generally used in large areas, and the requirement is that those stitches must have a flat appearance like a face. If we are to do the stitching only from the top, we can say that doing the stitching thousand times only fills about six millimeters. If we are to write something over that, then a thousand stitches cover about a four millimeter itself.
- Running Stitch/ Walk Stitch
After completing anything to the greatest extent, a finishing or an outing is required, which gives the product a good finishing. This stitch is used when between the two points there is only a single layer of stitch required as it gives it a good underlay and fills it properly. If there is an error in judgment while making something a millimeter less, then the running stitch is used.
- Bean Stitch
The bean stitches are just another variety of running stitches. As discussed in the above types, if only a single stitch is required between two points, it is called a running stitch. But if the stitching is required back and forth between two points, then the bean stitch is used. This stitch is mainly used for the outlining work as it covers the whole as we move the needle back and forth. This stitch is one of the most important stitches and helps to keep the embroidered cloth in a good position.
These are the main types of embroidery stitches available in the market, and the market is full of them.
