The NJ centre for tourette syndrome and associated disorders has announced scholarship rewards of up to $1,000 to New Jersey high school students who have been diagnosed with this syndrome.
Till now, it has also awarded 335 students who have excelled in their schools and communities.
Qualifications for this scholarship are –
- Domiciled to New Jersey
- Is a high school senior
- Is planning to attend institutions for higher studies
- Have treated for Tourette syndrome
How can you apply for it?
Download and submit the application form via email by 15th March 2023. With the submission form, attach the following things –
- A record of grades from 9th to present
- recommendation letter
- a one or two-page essay on how Tourette syndrome has played a part in their life
- Media showcasing your talents (if you’re submitting a video, make sure it’s less than 5 minutes).
Chad Stovall Memorial Scholarship
Western Illinois University is providing the Chad Stovall Memorial Scholarship to students taking admission to the university and has suffered from TS.
Eligibility criteria –
You must be enrolled full-time and remain excellent in academics.
The scholarship amount is flexible; it varies.
Dollar 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship
Kelsey B. Diamantic TS Scholarship family foundation is a non-profit organization that offers a scholarship of $1,000 to college students with TS.
Eligibility criteria –
- GPA of at least 2.5
- Letter of diagnosis of TS
The John Lepping Memorial Scholarship
The amount awarded under this scholarship is $5,000. At least four students will be selected for this scholarship.
Eligibility criteria –
- Must have one or more disabilities.
- A US citizen living in New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.
With the application form, you must provide proof of disability and a letter of confirmation from a physician. So make sure you have that too.
Tourette College Scholarship
It is offered to students who have TS. An amount of $2,000 will be given under this, and four students will be selected for this.
Who is eligible?
- Any student in the first year of college or a high school senior
- A resident of California, or Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.
- Sufferer of TS.
Jack Skura Fund
It is offering a scholarship of $10,000 to students who will be enrolling in a UG program or are already enrolled.
What is the eligibility for the jack Skura fund?
- Student of a New Jersey college or university
- Suffering from any kind of disability
- Scored at least a 3.2 GPA.
- Have proof of disability
AIM Center For Independent Living Inc.
It has announced a scholarship of $1,000 for students who have a certified disability. The application for this scholarship must be submitted via mail.
Note – 5 students will be selected for this scholarship.
Carolyn Valsa Hancook Memorial Scholarship
Under this scholarship, a reward of $1,500 will be given to 4 students. The deadline to submit the application form isn’t known yet.
Wells Fargo Scholarship Program for people with disabilities
It is created to aid people with disabilities in gaining their education and succeeding in their careers. A reward of $10,000 will be given under this scholarship.
Who can apply?
- People who gave an identified disability
- High school senior or graduate planning to enrol or someone who has already enrolled in a UG program.
- Scored a GPA of at least 3.0
