Ponniyin Selvan is a fictional novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. It has five volumes.

The novel circumscribes Vandiyathevan, a handsome and brave man. He was set to deliver the message of Aditha Karikalan to the King and the princess. The story commutes between Vandiyathevan’s move to Chola and Arulmozhivarman’s move to Sri Lanka.
Kundavai tries to bring back Arumozhivarman for setting up political peace. Gandaraditya succeeded Parantaka because Rajadiya died in a battle.
